Q&A with Diane Neal 11/12/06

These Questions nor Answers have NOT been altered in any way.  These are the truthful answers from Diane herself.

1. Do you know if the Celebrity bartending event will happen again this nov. in NYC, and if so will you be attending?

The bartending event WILL be happening this year. I won't be there (shooting all day w/ Chris and Dann) and I have no idea who WILL be there. It sucks but it's true. I'm of no value whatsoever on this one.

2. Do you have a myspace?

I DON'T have a myspace. You've witnessed how long it takes me to get back to YOU, imagine how sad my myspace page would be. ( I like the "my my...")

3. What is your favorite part about working on SVU?

I LOVE showing up to work in the morning! I love feeling creative and like I'm part of a team. I try to get better every episode so I feel like I'm doing something positive and progressing. And, most of all, I ADORE spending the day with my cast mates and our amazing guest stars. Everyone is SO different, yet all very funny, interesting and lovely. It really is a pleasure to spend so much of my life with them and
constantly getting to know them better.

4. What other countries would you like to travel to someday?

I am DYING to go to Turkey and all around the Black Sea. I love history and now I'm on a Byzantine kick so I'd love to head over there and visit all the places I'm reading about. I also REALLY, REALLY wanted to hit Antarctica before I was 30. Oops. Maybe before 40.

5. This question is from Katie "I read once that you liked the dog whisperer. That was quite possibly the oddest thing
I'd heard that day, and it stuck in my mind. Whenever do you have time to sit and watch the dog whisperer?! Who HAS TIME to watch the dog whisperer?! Do you MAKE time for the dog whisperer?"

I TiVo the dog whisperer. Marcus and I love him AND we just got his book. As I'm typing this RIGHT NOW my dog, Ted, is sitting on my lap and consistently nudging the keyboard for attention. This is one of the many reasons that I NEED Caesar Milan. Also, Annie Potts who was on our show a few time (she's kick ass, by the way) is good buddies with Caesar and would humor me with crazy stories about him. It makes me feel slightly connected to him. Weird, I know.

6. Will your red hair be making a come back anytime soon?

My strawberry blonde hair is being (slowly) phased back in. Thank God.

7. This question is from Anne-Laure "Do you have any plans after Law and Order?"

I haven't really thought about it. I love my job so much I'd stay as long as I was wanted. If I think of anything I'll let you know.

8. Which languages do you speak?

I speak Spanish and a little Italian, Korean, Japanese, Tagalog, German and Portuguese to get around. I'm learning Latin right now, trying to nail down my ancient Greek and would love to learn Aramaic or Hebrew in the future. (History) I suck ass at French, would love to learn it, and will make an
effort to do so soon.

9. Do you have any future plans on being on any talk shows?

I don't have a publicist ($$$$$) and that's really the only way to get on talk shows. It's a lot of money to spend just to get on TV a little more, and frankly, I don't really care that much about being really famous. If I ever get the chance to do say, a film on the off-season, I'd be pleased as punch to do all the PR
for it. And talk shows ARE really fun. There just doesn't seem much point (or demand) at the moment.
